\nThe Aussies depart in a welter of squeals
\nThe army are starting to smile
\nAnd Bresnan is meaner than Scrooge at his worst
\nBut Yardie’s the bowler they think they can burst<\/p>\n
Swann’s busy spinning and time slips away
\nThough Hussey and White make amends
\nBroad drops a skier the second will stay
\nDelight and relief from his friends
\nNow there are two Husseys confusing us all
\nCan brothers start bashing the skin off the ball?<\/p>\n
It’s harum and scarum they’re back in the chase
\nWith sixes and fours all around
\nThe fieldsmen are hopping all over the place
\nWherever the gaps can be found
\nA twitchy last over but Broad holds his nerve
\nThe score that they’ve got to looks hard to preserve<\/p>\n
The English seem nervous and soon there’s one down
\nBut Pietersen’s ready to go
\nWith Kieswetter thumping the Diggers all frown
\nThe scoring rate’s certain to grow
\nWhen Pietersen skies it the hard work is done
\nAnd Collingwood enters to join in the fun<\/p>\n
But now that they’re winning their nerves are on edge
\nIt’s hard to believe they can lose
\nThe best from down-under are driving a wedge
\nThrough all of the best we can choose
\nCan Morgan and Collingwood steady the ship
\nAnd still keep the score moving on at a clip<\/p>\n
The final five overs begin with a six
\n“What pressure” the Irishman says
\nIt seems he’s unravelled the legspinner’s tricks
\nA different game when he plays
\nIt must be all over the captain’s on song
\nFor once it’s the Aussies who got it all wrong!<\/p>\n
