\nWhen words start to tumble and fumble for meaning
\nCollapsing in chaos like wheat in the rain
\nI wake to the puzzle of snores intervening
\nI’ve fallen asleep in the chair once again<\/p>\n
If I go to bed I may lie without sleeping
\nCounting the daydreams that flow through my mind
\nBut sat on a chair I can doze without sheeping
\nLeaving insomnia’s curses behind<\/p>\n
The sound from the TV is fuzzy and muffled
\nThe thoughts in my head making no sort of sense
\nBut somehow I’m feeling at peace and unruffled
\nProving perhaps I am overly dense<\/p>\n
Awake with a start feeling aching and shivers
\nMy wrist is asleep full of needles and pins
\nIt’s off up to bed where my pillow delivers
\nRivers of dreams in which everyone wins<\/p>\n
