\nOf life’s unrelenting senescence
\nWith blatant mendacity
\nAnd morbid tenacity
\nWe try to retain adolescence<\/p>\n
And during this truculent ageing
\nFar too many people start raging
\nIt’s not caustic youth
\nWho are lacking in couth
\nIt’s fogies who lead the rampaging<\/p>\n
I cannot deny all affinity
\nWith age’s unpleasant vicinity
\nHoarfrost on my tresses
\nIs proof of the stresses
\nAs I’ve limped to almost infinity<\/p>\n
It’s kismet I hear you exclaim
\nThat I’ve missed my nebulous aim
\nI wanted enjoyment
\nNot boring employment
\nBefore loam’s thrown over my frame
\n\u00a0
\nThe bailiwick I shall inhabit
\nMay ensoul a wandering rabbit
\nOf foppish demeanour
\nWho looks like he’s seen a
\nDead poet exclaiming “Dag Nabbit!”<\/p>\n
