Looking Forward

\nIt’s hardly my fault if my language turns florid
\nI’m walking to work and the weather is horrid
\nIt rains on my hair and then runs down my for’ed
\nI wish I was still in my bed<\/p>\n
I doubt I’ll be met by a warm friendly greeting
\nFrom colleagues and bosses who think I need treating
\nThere’s rather more chance that I’m late for a meeting
\nMy schedule’s gone out of my head<\/p>\n
Some projects I’m tied to are heading for crunch time
\nBut short term disasters are certain to munch time
\nStill I’m heading home pretty soon after lunchtime
\nTo do something more fun instead<\/p>\n
It seems there’s an answer to regular sorrow
\nThere’s something called life that I think I can borrow
\nI’m gonna stay home for a lie-in tomorrow
