\nA digital camera’s fantastic,
\nRecording each day as it goes,
\nBut soon you must do something drastic
\nTo cope as your gallery grows.
\nThere’s nothing to stop you from snapping
\nAs weather and neighbours go wild,
\nOr saving the thrill of unwrapping
\nThe toys that you give to each child.
\nThe last thing you think of is space
\nWhen witnessing Auntie’s disgrace.<\/p>\n
By now all your flash-cards are bulging,
\nYou’ve pictures that no-one can see,
\nUnless they are keen on indulging
\nIn buying a top-notch PC.
\nYou swallow your pride and get busy
\nExcising the unfocussed mass
\nAnd giggle as Grandad gets dizzy
\nWhile chasing a runaway ass.
\nThere’s still far too many to print
\nAnd now you’ve developed a squint!<\/p>\n
Deletion is boring and painful;
\nSo what can you do but delay?
\nYour conscious is looking disdainful
\nBut still you head off for some play —
\nA ticket to go for a track-day,
\nMore pictures to add to the pile,
\nBut that is a job for a slack day,
\nOr when you are needing a smile.
\nWho cares if they’ll always stay hid,
