\nI’ve lost myself in England’s wildest places
\nOn windswept fells, in hidden forest glades,
\nI’ve stood alone In crowded city spaces
\nWhere shopping hoards have swarmed the barricades<\/p>\n
I’ve laid at night to stare at constellations
\nAnd counted stars too few have ever seen.
\nI’ve hiked through scenes of ancient excavations,
\nWhere hard hewn stones have donned a gentle green.<\/p>\n
Although I’ve walked through other nation’s glories,
\nI’ve never found a land to rival mine–
\nEach acre teems with untold rhymes and stories,
\nUnpainted views all Englishmen should sign.<\/p>\n
And when I die my soul will fade away;
