It’s a Joke!

\nAm I awake, or fast asleep?
\nIt’s sometimes hard to tell,
\nThe World’s a vast unplanned mistake,
\nPerhaps I’m one as well.
\nI don’t believe the evening news,
\nThere’s far too little sense;
\nNo people really hold those views,
\nThose are not real events.
\nI was asleep, I know that much,
\nI thought I was awake,
\nBut since my mind’s so out of touch
\nThis could be a mistake.<\/p>\n
I look around, the room seems real,
\nI think these are my thoughts,
\nBut others tell me what I feel,
\nI must be out of sorts.
\nI never understand today,
\nUntil it’s been and gone,
\nAnd so I’ll go and find my bed
\nThen turn my dreams back on.
\nIn dreams I find there’s sanity
\nDevoid of foolish folk —
\nAnd if you’re wise you’ll come with me
