There is No Justice!

\nA man, called Stan, conceived a plan to offset all the cost;
\nTo compensate for damage that was caused.
\nA way to pay for gross decay, to find all that he’d lost,
\nThe day that all he strove towards was paused.
\nA butterfly, the TV said, had started the effect,
\nThat grew into the hurricane that saw his future wrecked.
\n\u00a0
\nSo Stan, the man who’d had the plan, sent papers to the court,
\nTo start a claim against the insect world.
\nHe’d bring the wings of creeping things, to book for all their sport,
\nThat science said saw ocean systems whirled.
\nThose butterflies would rue the day they flew with little care,
\nShowed no consideration for disturbing others’ air.
\n\u00a0
\nHis plan, thought Stan, would favour man, against those bugs who sin,
\nThe jury would award him all he asked.
\nHe knew to sue was what to do, there was no doubt he’d win,
\nHis lawyers rushed to do as they were tasked.
\nBut soon they stood incredulous, his action was denied,
\nThe judge said complex metaphors can not be reified!
