Taking Refuge

\nIt’s often hard to be where people know you
\nAnd sympathise with all you have to feel,
\nYou must return the love they want to show you,
\nWhilst in your heart you doubt that life is real.<\/p>\n
When doors you want to open won’t admit you
\nBut every other door you see’s ajar,
\nThe contrast and the pain are bound to hit you,
\nAlone in seas of friends is where you are.<\/p>\n
But far away their artless love supports you
\nAnd you can cry, or not, it’s up to you.
\nA change of scene and hard-work soon re-sorts you.
\nAnd lets you love the friends you always knew.<\/p>\n
Though distance soothes the pain of day-to-day
\nInside our hearts our friends aren’t far away.<\/p>\n
