\nAn half-grown elf still wet behind the ears,
\nWho loves to rhyme and play with ancient words
\nAnd thinks poetic norms are for the birds
\nHas finally achieved her elder years<\/p>\n
She used to be a baby wrapped in tears
\nA coddled youth who bruised too easily
\nBut now she takes her critics breezily
\nShe’s finally achieved her elder years<\/p>\n
But she’s still fond of downing wines and beers
\nOf dressing up and then of dressing down
\nShe loves to see a disapproving frown
\nFrom someone who’s achieved their elder years<\/p>\n
An half-grown elf still wet behind the ears,
\nMay sometime soon achieve her elder years<\/p>\n
This ageing child is not as she appears
\nNot getting wise, not losing foolish whims
\nCoquettishly she winks at passing hims
\nI think she’s still stuck in her teenage years<\/p>\n
Like other elves she hides her pointed ears
\nPretends that she’s a normal sort of girl
\nAnd not a strange and other-wordly pearl
\nA princess still stuck in her teenage years<\/p>\n
But now a chance of maturation nears
\nWill she decide it’s now the time to change
\nNo chance of that Amera’s far too strange!
\nA cheeky imp enjoying all her years<\/p>\n
This ageing child is not as she appears
\nShe knows that age is just a count of years<\/p>\n
