More Weather Woes

\nAn Englishman’s umbrella’s emblematic
\nHe’s naked if it isn’t by his side
\nBut in a gale this symbol’s problematic
\nIf opened it would take him on a ride<\/p>\n
He feels a jerk the moment it’s inverted
\nYou’ll see him spin to try to face the breeze
\nAnother gust, his treasure is converted
\nTo modern art that decorates the trees<\/p>\n
When storms arrive we Englishmen feel bitter
\nOur little roofs stay furled or put away
\nIt’s better to be labelled as a quitter
\nThan buy a new umbrella everyday<\/p>\n
So when the winds are boist’rously extreme
\nA dry and tidy Englishman’s a dream<\/p>\n
