Pork Chops and Tea!

\nPork chop and Yorkshire pudding safe inside,
\nA heap of peas to keep them company,
\nThere’s apple juice but I know I’ll decide,
\nI really need another cup of tea.
\nA day at work, with just a snack for lunch,
\nWill never be my perfect recipe —
\nBut now I’m home and harbouring a hunch;
\nIt’s time I had another cup of tea.
\nThere’s hours to fill before it’s supper time,
\nUntil that hits there’s no more food for me,
\nI’ll turn my thoughts to writing formal rhyme,
\nAnd looking for another cup of tea.
\n\u00a0 \u00a0 And when you’ve read this foolish poetry
