\nStill taints the dreams that keep me from my sleep;
\nDespite the herds of narcoleptic sheep
\nI try to count when midnight’s almost here.<\/p>\n
Those unheard words re-echo through my mind,
\nReminding me of long forgotten days
\nThat must emerge from slowly clearing haze
\nAs I recall the life I left behind.<\/p>\n
But you’re not here, your words remain unsaid,
\nThe you I see’s a trick of fading light,
\nThe private ghost that shepherds me each night,
\nEntirely real though trapped inside my head.<\/p>\n
And when I’ve died the words will still remain,
