\nThe rasping sound of knife on stone,
\nWhen you’re alone,
\nCan raise the fear
\nThat death is near.<\/p>\n
So when she heard his ringing blade,
\nThe sound she made
\nWas choked and small,
\nWho could she call?<\/p>\n
The fear recedes without a sound,
\nNo-one’s around;
\nBeneath her head
\nThe rug’s stained red.<\/p>\n
