\nI once knew an emu named Arthur McFadden,
\nWho danced like an eel and who sang fit to gladden
\nThe hearts of his fans and the girl (she’s a bad ‘un)
\nWho filled every dream that he knew.<\/p>\n
He wished he could fly like a kite or an eagle
\nAbove fluffy clouds shaped like Dame Anna Neagle
\nThen puff out his chest looking stately and regal
\nWhile courting that girl that he knew<\/p>\n
But emus can’t fly without well balanced rotors
\nConnected to gearwheels and powerful motors
\nThey aren’t quite as sleek as those avian gloaters
\nWho enthralled the girl that he knew<\/p>\n
But Arthur’s still happy, not lonely or single,
\nFor he’s found a trick and a tip of his wing’ll
\nBring girls by the score who would happily mingle
\nWith Emus that they hardly knew<\/p>\n
The secret he knows isn’t proving he’s funny
\nOr better at love than the Duracell bunny
\nIt’s let people know you have oodles of money
