Preparing for Halloween

\nI think I’ll make some sweets for trick-or-treaters
\nAnd weave contrasting fortunes through the theme;
\nSo all the little Paulas, Pams and Peters
\nCan show their doting parents how they scream.<\/p>\n
For one in ten the treats will be delicious,
\nThe finest chocolates I know how to make.
\nThe other nine may find life less propitious
\nAnd learn that annual begging’s a mistake.<\/p>\n
With arsenic and cyanide as flavours
\nAnd broken glass to add an extra crunch
\nMy offerings will be the deadly savours
\nOf many little darlings’ final lunch<\/p>\n
Now off to sort through all my baking stores
\nPerhaps you know where I’d get anthrax spores …<\/p>\n
