\nWe’ll have seen an end to snowing
\nAnd the cricket season’s almost on the way
\nI can feel my hackles itching
\nAnd my spinning finger’s twitching
\nThough I know I’ll hardly get a chance to play<\/p>\n
There’ll be games to watch a plenty
\nLazy first-class, Twenty-20
\nAnd the Ashes on their way to add their spice
\nWinter’s gone and Spring’s arriving
\nBringing cutting, hooking, driving
\nYou’re on the way? Hang-on! I don’t need asking twice<\/p>\n
Let’s forget the World cup losses
\nBlame them all on ill-judged tosses
\nNow the real thing is near enough to smell
\nIf your life needs extra reason
\nI present “The Cricket Season”
\nIn the sunshine at the Oval all is well!<\/p>\n
