\nI think that I shall never curse
\nA tree as badly as a verse;<\/p>\n
No tree has kept me up at night
\nBecause its branches “weren’t quite right”,<\/p>\n
And halfway up its shape won’t change
\nWith lines that will not rearrange.<\/p>\n
No leaves will be too long or short
\nAnd picked by desperate last resort,<\/p>\n
The fruit it bears will still seem sweet
\nWhen heartless critics start to bleat.<\/p>\n
There’ll be no tears, no howls of pain,
\nGreat trees mature with little strain.<\/p>\n
But though that’s true I know no tree
\nThat moves a heart like poetry.<\/p>\n
