\nThat tease the pretty buds of every flower
\nThe whispered conversations of the sparrows in the trees
\nThe tickling touch of raindrops in a shower
\nAre natural reminders of a kiss as soft as dew
\nAnd Mother Nature’s memories of you.<\/p>\n
When sunlight plays with shadows in a Springtime English wood
\nAnd bluebells blaze as brightly as your eyes
\nI’m left to dream of feelings that I never understood
\nAs my fingertips made music on your thighs
\nWe walked across the hillsides under skies of Wedgewood blue
\nAnd Mother Nature’s beauty came from you<\/p>\n
We lay on mossy stream-banks as the Moon hung far above
\nAnd swifts and swallows chased an evening meal
\nYour hair wrapped round my fingers as we gave the World our love
\nAnd Summer’s warm embraces made it real
\nA secret ancient meadow where the rarest orchids grew
\nWas Mother Nation’s offering to you<\/p>\n
We watched the trees disrobing and we joined them in their game
\nThe rustle of their raiment as it fell
\nThe two of you seduced me but I know I share the blame
\nAs Autumns glories weaved their golden spell
\nUnearthly mushrooms watched us as we gambolled where they grew
\nAnd Mother Nature laughed for me and you<\/p>\n
And now I see and hear you in the fog, the frost, the snow
\nThe cold exciting glory all around
\nI feel your breath behind me and your whispers make me glow
\nAs Winter hunts its prey without a sound
\nEach day brings other wonders old romances oust the new
\nAnd Mother Nature can’t compete with you.<\/p>\n
