It Must Be Right to Cry

\nLong years have passed, and nothing lasts forever.
\nHold tight to what remains it’s yours to keep.
\nThe rope to what you had’s not yours to sever
\nBecause its time for other hearts to sleep.<\/p>\n
Not every day can bring a bed of roses,
\nBut you’ll still see the daisies on the lawn.
\nThe hope of youth too swiftly decomposes
\nAnd promise for tomorrow is withdrawn.<\/p>\n
But life still brings us new exciting phases
\nThere’s more to do and other sights to see
\nThough these are merely trite unworthy phrases
\nI know you’ve yet to live more poetry.<\/p>\n
At times like these it must be right to cry,
\nBut memories still help your daydreams fly.<\/p>\n
