The Fresh Baked Bread Sonnet

\nI may have died and woken up in heaven
\nI’ve just untinned a fresh-baked loaf of bread.
\nFrom one to ten I think I touched eleven
\nThe moment that its perfume reached my head.<\/p>\n
I’ve cut a slice, the time has come to taste it
\nFirst naked then with butter, rich and thick,
\nBut nothing else I see no need to waste it
\nBeneath what ever spread some fools would pick.<\/p>\n
There’s cranberries, pineapple and Brazil nuts
\nEnough to tease but not to overwhelm,
\nNot chopped up small, you have to know they’re still nuts,
\nNo better supper all across this realm.<\/p>\n
So have I died? Who cares but my advice
\nIs hurry up and grab another slice!<\/p>\n
