\nI wrote an essay as you asked
\nThen snapped the page in two
\nThe paper printed half of it
\nBut didn’t read it through
\nI put it on my Facebook page
\nNow I can’t read the screen
\nAnd writing this I’m in a rage
\nMy words cannot be seen
\nI commented so many times
\nOn poems far and wide
\n“This verse is full of dreadful crimes”
\n“The poet clearly lied”
\n“Why would you write in type so small
\nIt’s really hard to read”
\n“The greatest poem about a ball
\nThis much is guaranteed”
\n“Why Jack and Jill? Not Bert and Joan
\nIt makes no sense to me”
\n“I’m really not a one to moan
\nBut this ain’t poetry”
\nThe person I encountered third
\nSpoke only ancient Greek
\nTo write it thus would be absurd
\nAnd take me half the week.
\nI did more comments, short and loud
\nThe air was turning blue
\nI doubt my Mother would be proud
\nMost words I used were “new”
\nBut now it’s time for tea and toast
\nSo I shall head away
\nAnd hope all readers are engrossed
\nIn all I’ve had to say!<\/p>\n
