{"id":5711,"date":"2023-11-26T20:25:28","date_gmt":"2023-11-26T20:25:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/nicewaistcoat.com\/wordpress\/?page_id=5711"},"modified":"2023-11-28T23:09:04","modified_gmt":"2023-11-28T23:09:04","slug":"the-weather-gods-are-bs","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/nicewaistcoat.com\/wordpress\/the-poems\/the-weather-gods-are-bs\/","title":{"rendered":"The Weather Gods are B******S!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> The Weather Gods are BS!<br \/>\nby cricketjeff on September 3, 2020.\u00a0 \u00a9 Jeff Green, All rights reserved<br \/>\nI have tickets for the cricket, so it&#8217;s raining<br \/>\nLast time they changed the rules, we couldn&#8217;t go<br \/>\nThis is English summer weather, not complaining<br \/>\nBut Ithe gods could put some empathy on show.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve almost been behaving throughout lockdown<br \/>\nI haven&#8217;t chanced my arm to follow fun<br \/>\nSo looking at the rain is quite a knock down<br \/>\nIt&#8217;s surely not as bad for everyone<\/p>\n<p>This morning it was grey, without the drizzle<br \/>\nLooking forward to our trip we dressed in smiles<br \/>\nBut staring out the window makes me grizzle<br \/>\nThe journey will be pointless cooped up miles<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;re going to go, there&#8217;s still a chance of cricket<br \/>\nIt may dry up and they&#8217;ll decided to play<br \/>\nSo I&#8217;ve packed some food and checked I have my ticket<br \/>\nAnd tomorrow this will just be yesterday &#8230;<br \/>\n Author notes<br \/>\nWe will be leaving in 30 minutes for a 20 minute walk in the rain, a 30 minute<br \/>\ntrain trip and a ten minute walk in the rain to wait 2 hours bofore they call<br \/>\nit off and we make the journey in reverse.
