\nWho think bloody murder on helluva thrill
\nAnd slaughtering innocent kids is a skill,
\nAin’t always so easy to do.<\/p>\n
You go on a march with a banner or flag,
\nYou take drinks and sandwiches tucked in a bag,
\nYour most viscous aim is to pester and nag,
\nBut thugs will start aiming at you.<\/p>\n
It’s hard to stay strong when the gas grenades fly,
\nWhen a woman stood next to you loses an eye,
\nPolicemen with shotguns aren’t painfully shy –
\nAnd think human rights aren’t your due.<\/p>\n
A goon with a flag from a traitorous past,
\nGets into a vehicle and starts to drive fast,
\nIf you’re in the way he will not be aghast,
\nHe’s sad he can kill just a few.<\/p>\n
Young toughs may arrive from a neighbouring town
\nWith illegal guns raised to “mow commies down”,
\nAnd commies means anyone just slightly brown –
\nThere are unarmed old men to subdue!<\/p>\n
If they do not want to see people protest,
\nThen they could give racist policing a rest,
\nAnd stop letting oligarchs feather their nest,
\nHow can this idea seem so new?<\/p>\n
