Chewing the Silver Spoon

\nWhen he was three his mother cooked his dinner,
\nShe wiped his bum, and helped him blow his nose.
\nHe’s forty now but isn’t quite a winner,
\nWears slip-on shoes since he can’t manage bows.<\/p>\n
When he was eight his father used to drive him,
\nDid up his belt and made sure he was safe.
\nIn adult life so many things deprive him,
\nBut he won’t let these difficulties chafe.<\/p>\n
At seventeen he dated Mum’s friends’ daughters
\nHe went to work at Daddy’s family firm.
\nHe never tackled life’s unfriendly waters
\nThe thought of being useful made him squirm.<\/p>\n
Now he’s the boss the company’s going bust
\nSuccess in life requires a little thrust.<\/p>\n
