\nNear Umbleania-by-the-Sea
\nThere is a place I’d love to be.
\nIts low lying hills above the clouds
\nAre rarely filled with noisome crowds.
\nIts rivers are extremely dry
\nAnd very pleasing to the eye.
\nThe desert lakes are blue as coal
\nAnd warm as snowballs on the whole.<\/p>\n
You should arrive at Goodfornaught
\nThe capital and largest port
\nIt’s only three miles from the sea
\nAnd rarely floods excessively.
\nYour ship (or bus, the choice is yours)
\nWill let you land from both its doors
\nThe natives’ greetings won’t be rough
\n(unless you don’t buy loads of stuff).<\/p>\n
I’ve only been there thrice or twice,
\nTo dine on winkles stuffed with mice
\nA special’ty of which they’re proud –
\nNot eating it is not allowed.
\nReturn with me, I’m leaving soon
\nTo watch the changing of the Moon.

\nI’m pretty sure this cannot be described as adult poetry and it has twenty-four
\nlines. I think autorank would explode if you tried to use it.<\/p>\n
I’m sure you all know that Gooblegrip, situated as it is on the borders of
\nBindybandy and Umbleania, is an isolated, inland, desert island. Blessed with
\nrich verdant forests of deadly cactus and glorious underground views. If you
\ndon’t fancy the shipboard route you can get there by pogostick from Ulan Bator
\nor take the tram from just outside Guildford.<\/p>\n
I’ve written about the Lake District, the Sussex Downs, The Oval and so many
